SANITIZED and RUDOLF Introduce Textile Technologies for Lasting Freshness and Weather Protection
SANITIZED Odorex™ EON targets persistent textile odours, while RUDOLF RUCO-DRY® ECO CWS provides water repellency and hydrostatic pressure resistance for cotton fabrics.
SANITIZED and RUDOLF are highlighting new textile technologies designed to improve garment wearability, freshness and protection against weather conditions. Announced on October 13, 2026, the innovations address performance requirements in apparel, outdoor garments and technical textiles, with a focus on maintaining functionality through repeated wear and use.
SANITIZED Odorex™ EON is designed to address persistent odours through a biocide-free dual-action technology, while RUDOLF’s RUCO-DRY® ECO CWS provides water-repellent and waterproof performance for cotton fabrics.
Addressing Persistent Odours in Performance Apparel
Performance apparel is exposed to perspiration, weather conditions and repeated laundering. Over time, sebum and odour-causing residues can accumulate on textile fibres, potentially resulting in persistent odours that remain even after washing. This phenomenon is often referred to as “permastink”.
SANITIZED Odorex™ EON uses a biocide-free dual-action technology designed to address both immediate odours and their long-term accumulation. During wear, the technology adsorbs and neutralises odour molecules to help textiles maintain a fresh feel. It also creates a protective layer that supports the removal of sebum residues during laundering, helping prevent the gradual buildup associated with persistent odours.
The technology addresses functional durability beyond physical characteristics such as strength and abrasion resistance, focusing on helping garments remain comfortable and wearable throughout their lifecycle.

RUDOLF Develops Weather Protection Technology for Cotton Fabrics
RUDOLF is presenting RUCO-DRY® ECO CWS, a high-performance water-repellent and waterproof technology that can be marketed under the globally recognised BIONIC-FINISH® ECO brand.
The technology combines water repellency with hydrostatic pressure resistance for cotton fabrics, helping textiles maintain their protective function in demanding conditions.
RUCO-DRY® ECO CWS is designed for applications including outdoor apparel and technical textiles such as tents, awnings and umbrellas. It aims to support durable weather protection while meeting performance expectations for textile products used in challenging environments.
