Sagar Manufacturers Expands Textile Operations with Dyeing & Printing Unit

Integrated facility in Madhya Pradesh adds 8000 MT capacity and creates over 500 jobs
Sagar Manufacturers Integrated Textile Industry has expanded its operations by adding dyeing and printing capabilities to its existing spinning and knitting setup. The new facility is located in Tamot, District Raisen, Madhya Pradesh, India. The expansion includes increased production capacity, employment generation, and sustainability-focused infrastructure.
With this development, the company has extended its operations from spinning and knitting to include integrated dyeing and printing of fabrics. The expansion is part of its broader effort to strengthen its integrated textile operations.
The newly established dyeing and printing unit will add an annual production capacity of 8000 MT of dyed and printed fabrics. The facility also enables customers to access a wide range of fabric patterns, variations, and designs with customization options.
As part of the new setup, the company has installed advanced machinery and a modern testing laboratory. The facility also includes the district’s first Zero Liquid Discharge Plant.
The expansion is expected to generate over 500 additional jobs for youths in the state. Currently, SMPL Integrated Textile Industry employs more than 6000 individuals, with women comprising 60% of its workforce.

The company has also established a 28 MW solar power plant supporting its textile spinning and knitting units. It is recognized as a Star Export House by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry and exports to more than 35 countries, serving over 200 global brands.
Commenting on the development, Managing Director Siddharth Sudhir Agrawal said, “Introduction of dyeing and printing set up in our integrated textile Industry will enable us to serve our customers as per their needs and with customizations. With the integration of spinning, knitting and now dyeing and printing, we will be able to serve our customers with colors of customization under one umbrella.”
