RSWM Unveils Sustainability Report FY2024-25

Updated:

RSWM Limited, the flagship company of the LNJ Bhilwara Group, has released its Sustainability Report for FY2024-25, underlining a series of green milestones. The report was jointly unveiled on 30 September 2025 by Mr. Riju Jhunjhunwala, Chairman & Managing Director and CEO, and Mr. Rajeev Gupta, Joint Managing Director, reflecting the company’s ongoing mission to embed sustainability across every aspect of its operations.

The company’s sustainability strategy is guided by Panchtatva, an innovation framework inspired by the five natural elements, which steers environmentally responsible practices. Over the year, RSWM has reported significant achievements:

  • 22.3 lakh KL of water saved, ensuring 100% reuse of treated water through advanced Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) systems.
  • 101.76 million kW of renewable power from solar and wind, bringing clean energy usage to 33%, higher than India’s national average of 31%.
  • 6.5 million PET bottles recycled daily, with a total of 43,250 MT PET bottles recycled in FY25.
  • 38,270 MT of recycled polyester and 11,674 MT of organic cotton integrated into yarn and fabric production.
  • 14,714 MT of biofuels consumed in boilers to replace coal, with a roadmap to run all boilers on biofuels by FY2026.
  • 91,611 kg of organic manure utilized for soil enrichment across facilities.

Speaking on RSWM’s vision, Mr. Riju Jhunjhunwala said:
“At RSWM, we see sustainability as both a responsibility and an opportunity to drive purposeful growth. Guided by Panchtatva, we are reimagining our industry by turning challenges into opportunities through sustainable innovation and nature-conscious initiatives. Our philosophy is simple – we only take what we can give back. This means rethinking waste as a resource, embedding renewables into our energy mix and designing every process to minimize impact while maximizing resilience. We envision creating a legacy that will shape a stronger, cleaner, and more equitable world for future generations.”

Adding to this, Mr. Rajeev Gupta stated:
“We are committed to carrying forward the visionary legacy of Shri L.N. Jhunjhunwala ji, who believed in building sustainable ecosystems by aligning profitability with responsibility. With Panchtatva at the core, we are embedding sustainable practices across our operations – expanding green energy share, transitioning all boilers to biofuels, scaling PET recycling, and strengthening water management through ZLD. Our mission is to make sustainability a defining element of every layer of our organization.”

Beyond its factories, RSWM has also extended sustainability to communities, reaching 2.44 lakh beneficiaries through CSR initiatives in FY25. The company’s governance continues to set benchmarks, recording zero cases of corruption and promoting inclusivity by expanding women’s participation in its workforce and leadership roles.

Aligned with Panchtatva, RSWM’s initiatives span:

  • Agni (Fire) – clean energy transition,
  • Prithvi (Earth) – natural and regenerative resources,
  • Jal (Water) – water conservation,
  • Vayu (Air) – breathable textiles and clean air,
  • Akash (Sky) – circularity and recycling.

The company is also expanding its portfolio of sustainable fibers including organic and recycled cotton, linen, hemp, silk, jute, and others.

RSWM’s sustainability performance is validated by a strong portfolio of global certifications including ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, SA 8000:2014, OHSAS 18001, GRS, OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, OCS, and BCI membership, reflecting its adherence to international ESG benchmarks.
