RSWM Limited Receives CITI Sustainability Award, Showcases Sustainable Textile Innovations at Bharat Tex 2026
Company highlights SUTRADHAAR concept, Milkweed Fibre, Technical Textiles portfolio and data-driven sustainability initiatives during the four-day exhibition.
RSWM Limited, the flagship company of the LNJ Bhilwara Group, concluded its participation at Bharat Tex 2026 with a focus on sustainable textile manufacturing, product innovation and industry engagement. During the event, the company received the 'Data-Driven Sustainability Excellence in Textile Manufacturing' award at the CITI Textile Sustainability Awards & CITI-Birla Awards 2025-26 for its data-driven sustainability practices across manufacturing operations.
RSWM Limited, the flagship company of the LNJ Bhilwara Group, concluded its participation at Bharat Tex 2026, India's largest textile trade fair, where it showcased its sustainability-focused product portfolio and manufacturing initiatives. The company also received the 'Data-Driven Sustainability Excellence in Textile Manufacturing' award at the CITI Textile Sustainability Awards & CITI-Birla Awards 2025-26, recognising its approach to integrating data-driven monitoring and sustainability practices across its manufacturing operations.
During the four-day exhibition, RSWM presented its latest products and sustainability-led portfolio under its master brand concept, SUTRADHAAR – The Thread That Connects Tradition to Tomorrow. The company also showcased Milkweed Fibre, a sustainable natural fibre developed to offer enhanced comfort and performance. According to the company, the product received responses from domestic and international buyers and customers for its value proposition and eco-friendly attributes.
The company further displayed its Protective Wear collection, highlighting its growing presence in the Technical Textiles segment through solutions developed to meet evolving industry requirements. These products, together with RSWM's sustainable manufacturing processes and product development capabilities, were presented during the exhibition. The Ministry of Textiles also appreciated the SUTRADHAAR concept for its representation of the company's approach to combining India's textile heritage with innovation and sustainability.
The RSWM pavilion was visited by several government dignitaries, including Shri Giriraj Singh, Hon'ble Minister of Textiles; Ms. Arti Kanwar, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Textiles; Ms. Padmini Singla, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Textiles; Mr. Rohit Kansal, Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India; and Mr. Anil Kumar, Director, Ministry of Textiles. The delegation interacted with the company's leadership team and reviewed its sustainable product innovations and manufacturing practices.
RSWM stated that it has implemented an environmental monitoring framework that includes real-time utility tracking, department-wise and process-specific water consumption assessment, and regular evaluation of its Effluent Treatment Plants (ETPs). The company also conducts periodic stack and ambient air quality monitoring through NABL-accredited laboratories, while IoT-enabled sensors provide continuous operational monitoring to support environmental management and resource efficiency. Sustainability initiatives are managed through cross-functional teams under an approved sustainability policy, supported by employee awareness and operational training programmes.

The company stated that 70% of its total energy consumption is currently met through renewable sources and that it aims to further increase the use of green energy. RSWM has proposed 2070 as its Net Zero target year, with the timeline currently under formal operational review.
Its sustainability initiatives include biofuel conversion of boilers, renewable energy integration, water recycling, Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) initiatives, and the recycling of post-consumer PET bottles into green fibre to support circularity within the textile value chain.
Alongside its environmental programmes, RSWM continues to implement initiatives related to sustainable sourcing, employee engagement and community development. These programmes focus on food security, healthcare, sanitation, safe drinking water, education, vocational skill development and livelihood enhancement. The company also continues to expand its portfolio of green products through the production of textile fibres made from recycled post-consumer PET bottles.
