ROICA™ Showcases Responsible Stretch Innovation Through European Partners at Milano Unica

At Milano Unica, held from January 20 to 22, 2026, at Fiera Milano (Rho), ROICA™—Asahi Kasei’s premium stretch fiber—featured across collections presented by nine European textile partners. Rather than appearing as a standalone exhibit, ROICA™ was integrated into fabrics and garments developed by mills focusing on performance, material responsibility, and long-term value for the apparel industry. The participating collections reflected how advanced stretch solutions are being combined with circular design approaches, certified materials, and technical innovation across fashion, lingerie, beachwear, activewear, and menswear segments.
European textile manufacturers including Brugnoli, Eusebio, Iluna Group, Innova Fabrics, Inter Jersey Milano, Maglificio Maggia, Reda, Sitip Group, and Tessitura Colombo Antonio presented fabrics developed with ROICA™ at Milano Unica, demonstrating varied applications of stretch fiber technology across end uses.
Brugnoli highlighted cotton- and modal-based fabrics engineered with proprietary technologies to enhance elasticity and comfort, alongside certified materials and degradable stretch fiber options. Eusebio, appearing as a ROICA™ partner for the first time, showcased Italian-made beachwear fabrics produced with renewable energy and certified processes, supporting durability and consistent fit.
Iluna Group presented stretch laces made with recycled and degradable ROICA™ fibers, combining technical performance with traceability and certified circular inputs. Innova Fabrics focused on its Residual Free (RF) line, integrating ROICA™ V550 into performance textiles designed for reduced environmental impact.
Inter Jersey Milano introduced its Spring/Summer 2027 SENSUAL TECH collection, applying ROICA Resistance™ Family yarns to fabrics developed for swimwear, sportswear, and sport-to-street apparel. Maglificio Maggia and Reda presented knit and woven fabrics blending natural fibers with ROICA™ V550, targeting shape retention, comfort, and durability in both casual and tailored garments.
Sitip Group and Tessitura Colombo Antonio showcased warp-knit technical fabrics and stretch laces respectively, highlighting certified production standards and the integration of degradable stretch solutions. Across all collections, ROICA™ fiber supported fabric elasticity, longevity, and material efficiency while aligning with manufacturers’ sustainability frameworks.
The presentations at Milano Unica reflected a broader industry shift toward combining performance textiles with environmental accountability, where material selection plays a central role in product lifecycle considerations.
