ROICA™, the premium stretch fiber from Asahi Kasei, makes its debut at Performance Days 2025, unveiling sustainable performance technologies and creative collaborations shaping the future of sportswear.

ROICA™, the premium stretch fiber brand by Asahi Kasei, proudly marks its debut at Performance Days in Munich. As the sports and activewear industry continues to evolve rapidly, ROICA™ enters this global platform to highlight its advanced functionality, trusted innovation, and deep commitment to sustainable development.

A New Era for ROICA™

This first appearance at Performance Days represents a significant milestone for ROICA™, as it introduces its superior performance attributes and unique value to a broad international audience of sportswear professionals, designers, and innovators.
The brand’s guiding philosophy is built on three fundamental pillars:

Four leading European textile innovators will present their latest fabric collections featuring ROICA™, each reflecting excellence in sustainability and performance:

Cifra

(Hall A2 – Booth Q03)
Known as the “warp knit centre of excellence,” Cifra showcases its WKS (Warp Knit Seamless) technology—an advanced, eco-efficient process that reduces waste and enhances material precision. In collaboration with Wolford, Cifra unveils the Wolford Athleisure Line, crafted from ECONYL® and ROICA™ V550 fibers. These premium garments balance durability, comfort, and sustainability, designed for yoga, pilates, and modern leisurewear.

Inplet Pletiva

(Hall A1 – Booth J04)
Slovenia-based Inplet Pletiva presents a diverse range of elastic and rigid knitted fabrics, integrating ROICA™ V550 for exceptional stretch and environmental care. Their product line—featuring Powernet, Tricot, and Tulle—is designed using polyamide, polyester, recycled fibers, bamboo, and cotton blends. Certified by OEKO-TEX® and GRS, Inplet Pletiva emphasizes eco-conscious manufacturing, multi-directional stretch, breathability, and durability while maintaining large-scale output and premium quality.

Penn Solutions

(Hall A1 – Booth C06)
A collaboration between Penn Italia and Penn Textile Solutions, Penn Solutions merges Italian creativity with German engineering. Their new range includes Tricot and Lace base fabrics featuring ROICA™ V550. Each design demonstrates sustainability and comfort through aerodynamic zones, breathable structures, and invisible-edge lace for swimwear and performance garments. Certified by OEKO-TEX®, HIGG, ZDHC, and GRS, the company underscores ESG transparency and circular design innovation.

Sitip

(Hall A1 – Booth E14–15)
Italian innovator Sitip integrates ROICA™ fibers across its technical fabric range, combining elasticity, softness, and long-term durability. Key innovations include Blizzard Thermal Comfort, Native-Blizzard K2, Breeze with Eclipse Sun Protection (UPF 50+), and Force PLX Light. Sitip’s eco-design principles ensure OEKO-TEX®, bluesign®, GRS, and ZDHC compliance, backed by certifications such as ISO 14001, ISO 50001, and SA8000. Their carbon-reduction and traceability efforts further solidify their position as a global sustainability leader.

Special Showcase: CRAFTEVO & V&A Japan

Hall A1 – Booth A1-02

V&A Japan (CRAFTEVO) will present the official uniforms for EXPO 2025 Osaka, made using CRAFTEVO® ReTE and ROICA™ V550 degradable fibers. These compostable uniforms—crafted for 2,500 staff—will be collected and composted post-event, setting a new benchmark for circular, zero-waste event apparel.

CRAFTEVO® ReTE, a compostable polyester, decomposes into water, carbon dioxide, and biomass, reducing CO₂ emissions by 32.8% compared to recycled polyester.
