The International Organic Accreditation Service (IOAS) last week suspended the Control Union (CU) India from testing and sampling Indian organic textile products on suspicion of irregularities in its certification process, dealing a severe blow to spinning mills in Tamil Nadu and other regions of the nation. The industry organisations have now addressed the international accreditation authority to request relief in the situation.
