Reliance, MCPI Is Among 8 In Race For Textile Co Sumeet

According to records seen by ET, Reliance Industries, the largest private sector company in India by revenue, and MCPI, a company based in Kolkata, are two of the eight businesses that have expressed interest in acquiring Sumeet Industries, a textile maker that is heavily indebted. These businesses formally expressed their interest and provided supporting documentation earlier this month. The resolution professional will now review their submissions before requesting formal bids for the company.
