Reju Joins Recycling Europe Textiles to Support Circular Textile Recycling in Europe

Partnership aims to strengthen textile circularity, recycling infrastructure and recycled materials markets across Europe.
Recycling Europe has welcomed Reju as the newest partner of Recycling Europe Textiles, the organisation's textiles branch, reinforcing efforts to advance textile circularity and support well-functioning markets for recycled materials across Europe.
Reju is a textile-to-textile regeneration company focused on developing solutions for regenerating polyester textiles and post-consumer PET waste. The company brings together engineers, scientists and textile specialists from Europe and North America to support textile recycling technologies.
The company currently operates a pilot Regeneration Hub in Frankfurt, Germany, and has announced future industrial-scale regeneration hubs in Chemelot, Netherlands; Rochester, New York State; and Lacq, France.
Commenting on the partnership, Julia Ettinger, Secretary-General of Recycling Europe, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Reju as our newest partner of Recycling Europe Textiles. This partnership shows how industry collaboration can scale textile circularity at the speed Europe now needs — unlocking both environmental and economic opportunity”.
Patrik Frisk, CEO of Reju, said:
“Building partnerships like this one are important and we have the opportunity to establish a genuine circular ecosystem for textile recycling and invite collaboration across the entire value chain”.
According to Recycling Europe, growing demand for circular textiles, supportive market conditions and continued investment in recycling infrastructure remain important for strengthening Europe's recycling value chains. The organisation said partnerships such as this are intended to contribute to improving resilience and circularity across the textile recycling sector.
