Recover™ and Ünteks Group Partner to Expand Recycled Cotton Use in Circular Knitwear

Partnership combines Recover™ recycled cotton fiber with Ünteks Group’s integrated textile manufacturing to develop circular knit fabrics and garments for high-volume applications.

Recover™, a global producer of low impact, high quality recycled cotton fiber, has announced a partnership with Turkey-based Ünteks Group to develop circular knit fabrics and garments using recycled cotton. The collaboration combines Recover™’s recycled fiber with Ünteks Group’s vertically integrated manufacturing capabilities across knitting, dyeing, printing and garment production.

Recover™ has entered into a new partnership with Ünteks Group, a vertically integrated textile manufacturer based in Turkey, to develop circular knit fabrics and garments incorporating recycled cotton.

The collaboration is focused on producing circular knitwear by combining Recover™’s recycled cotton fiber with Ünteks Group’s integrated production capabilities, which include knitting, dyeing, printing and garment manufacturing.

The collection has been developed for high-volume, everyday applications and currently includes several circular knit fabric constructions, including single jersey (RFCS134 and RFCS110), fleece (RFCS100), interlock (RFCS106), terry (RFCS101), rib 2×1 (RFCS135), and pique. Additional fabric constructions are planned as the collection expands.

According to the companies, all fabrics will contain a minimum of 20% Recover™ recycled cotton, with the objective of combining performance, consistency, reduced environmental impact and increased transparency across the textile value chain.

Ünteks Group brings more than 30 years of textile expertise to the partnership through its vertically integrated manufacturing model. The company has a production capacity of up to 1.5 thousand tons of fabric and 1 million garments per month, supporting large-scale production and shorter lead times for global brands. Its manufacturing operations in Turkey also provide proximity to European markets, enabling greater flexibility and responsiveness to regional demand.

Matthew Neville, Chief Commercial Officer of Recover™, said:

"One of the key strengths of Ünteks is their ability to take circular knit fabrics through to finished garments with a high level of consistency. That makes them a strong partner for our collection, where the focus is on translating recycled cotton into everyday products that brands can rely on at scale.”

Hakan Kılıç, CEO of Ünteks Group, said:

"In circular knits, small variations can impact how a fabric behaves in production. A big part of our work with Recover™ has been adjusting and refining each step so the material runs consistently, from knitting through to the finished garment.”

The companies stated that the partnership combines recycled material development with large-scale manufacturing to increase the use of recycled cotton in circular knitwear and support its application across everyday product categories.
