ReCircle Launches Mumbai’s 5th Diwali Waste Collection Drive

Mumbai’s Biggest Diwali Waste Collection Drive is Back – 5th Year in a Row
This Diwali, ReCircle, a leading waste recovery innovator, is returning with Mumbai’s largest Diwali Waste Collection Drive. Since 2021, the initiative has grown from collecting 3,100 kg of dry waste to over 45,000 kg in 2024, and has diverted more than 75,000 kg of waste from landfills over the past four years. This year, the campaign is bigger, bolder, and more community-focused than ever.
How Mumbaikars Make a Difference
The drive thrives on Mumbai’s community spirit. Households, societies, schools, corporates, and local champions come together every year. Each small effort adds up—reducing environmental impact, powering livelihoods, and helping children in need.
Supporting Children in Need
Proceeds from the recovered waste go to St. Catherine of Siena School & Orphanage, helping provide essentials to children. By participating, Mumbaikars can celebrate a sustainable Diwali that lights up lives beyond their homes.

Message from CEO – Rahul Nainani
“Diwali is vibrant, but the waste that follows can dull the celebration. This year, we aim to make ‘Diwali ki Safai’ a movement. Each household’s effort reduces environmental burden, supports livelihoods, and helps children. Together, we can make Diwali cleaner, greener, and more meaningful.”
