RAI, which represents over 14,000 member establishments and nearly 700,000 retail stores across India, had highlighted the need for clarity and smooth implementation of GST 2.0 to avoid disruption in retail operations. The association stressed that retailers needed guidance on price adjustments to maintain compliance with the updated taxation framework.
This measure ensures that consumers are charged accurately under the revised GST structure, while retailers can seamlessly align with regulatory requirements.
