Qlar Group Appoints Thomas Giese as Chief Financial Officer

Qlar Group (formerly Schenck Process) has announced the appointment of Thomas Giese as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Giese assumed the position in May 2026, succeeding Dirk Scholz, and has taken responsibility for the company's Accounting, Controlling, Treasury, Tax and Legal functions.
According to the company, the appointment supports its focus on profitable growth and sustainable positive cash flow to strengthen investment capacity, delivery performance and customer service.
Thomas Giese brings more than three decades of international leadership experience in the industrial sector, along with expertise in strategic business development. During his career, he has held senior leadership positions at Elster, GKN, IFA, BOS and KraussMaffei, among other companies.
“Thomas Giese and I believe Qlar is built on a strong foundation. We want to support our customers in an even more focused way and continue to grow sustainably. We share a transparent and fair leadership approach, defined by clear priorities and consistent execution. Thomas brings a wealth of experience and a keen understanding of industrial operations,” says Dr Jörg Ulrich, CEO of the Qlar Group.
In the coming months, Giese plans to further strengthen the company's financial management while working with its business divisions to improve operational performance.

Since May 2026, Qlar Group has been part of the portfolio of private equity investor Everstone. According to Giese, the new ownership structure supports the company's continued development while creating additional opportunities for growth, investment and closer customer engagement.
