PUMA, PATAGONIA SUPPORT CHEMICAL RECYCLING COALITION

Published on

CLERMONT-FERRAND – Chemical recycling specialist Carbios has signed an agreement with apparel brands Puma, Patagonia, On and Salomon with the view to enhancing the recyclability of their products.

The coalition will focus on advancing circular infrastructure – by way of take-back schemes and sorting and dismantling solutions – so that Carbios’ proprietary recycling technology can operate at a greater scale.

Emmanuel Laden, the French innovator’s chief executive, commented: “Our common goal is to contribute to reducing the environmental impact of the textile industry by offering an industrial solution to recycle polyester fibres and help our partners to meet their sustainable development goals.”
