PUMA Appoints Ramprasad Sridharan as New India MD

PUMA strengthens India leadership with a seasoned industry expert.
PUMA has named Ramprasad Sridharan as Managing Director of PUMA India, bringing over 25 years of brand and retail experience to lead the company’s regional growth.
Global sportswear company PUMA has appointed Ramprasad Sridharan (49) as the Managing Director of PUMA India, effective December 2025. In his new position, Sridharan will report directly to Matthias Bäumer, PUMA’s Chief Commercial Officer.
Sridharan brings more than 25 years of extensive experience in brand development across the Asia-Pacific region, with strong expertise in digital expansion and commercial strategy. Prior to this appointment, he served as the CEO and Managing Director of United Colors of Benetton India, where he successfully spearheaded major business transformation initiatives.
Before his tenure at Benetton India, Sridharan held senior leadership roles at Clarks and Reebok India. His professional journey has been marked by a robust focus on commercial strategy, leadership development, organizational strengthening, change management, and nurturing high-performance teams.

Sridharan will be succeeding Karthik Balagopalan, who has chosen to explore new opportunities outside the organization.
