Mafatlal Industries Unifies Leadership Under Priyavrata as CEO & MD

Mafatlal Industries Limited (MIL) has confirmed that Priyavrata Mafatlal will take over as Chief Executive Officer effective June 1, 2026, while retaining his current position as Managing Director. The move brings both roles under a single leadership structure.

Priyavrata Mafatlal, Vice-Chairman of the Arvind Mafatlal Group and a fifth-generation member of the promoter family, assumes the expanded responsibilities at a key stage in the company’s development. In his combined role, he will oversee strategy and execution, with a focus on scaling value-added business segments, strengthening global market presence, and supporting long-term operational resilience.

The company stated that the leadership consolidation is aimed at enabling faster decision-making, more focused capital allocation, and improved alignment across business verticals. The approach will continue to emphasise operational efficiency, disciplined growth, and portfolio development, alongside expansion in premium and export-oriented segments.

This development follows the retirement of MB Raghunath as Chief Executive Officer upon attaining the age of sixty years, concluding more than three decades of association with the company. During his tenure, he contributed to strengthening operations and guiding the company through multiple industry cycles.

Following his retirement from the CEO role, MB Raghunath will transition to the position of Designated Director – Strategy and Projects. In this capacity, he will continue to be involved in strategic initiatives and long-term planning.

Mafatlal Industries Limited, the flagship entity of the Arvind Mafatlal Group, has a history spanning over 121 years in the textile sector. Its product portfolio includes suiting, shirting, voiles, white fabrics, and uniform textiles serving sectors such as education, corporates, healthcare, manufacturing, and hospitality in domestic and international markets.

The company also operates in the Health & Hygiene segment, producing adult and baby care products, feminine hygiene products, and medical disposables. Additionally, it has diversified into Digital Infrastructure and Consumer Durables as part of its broader business strategy.
