Held on April 22–23, 2025, at the Grand Quai du Port de Montréal, the first Canadian edition of Première Vision made a powerful debut, drawing nearly 2,150 professionals and students and featuring over 100 international exhibitors. This strategic event was organized in partnership with the mmode Cluster, with significant support from Tourisme Montréal and the Ministry of Tourism, marking a key milestone in Canada’s growing fashion and textile ecosystem.

The event attracted participants from across the globe—Canada, France, the United States, Türkiye, Japan, Morocco, and China—highlighting Montréal’s strategic role as a financial and creative hub in North America.

City of Montréal advisor Alia Hassan-Cournol, France’s Consul General in Montréal Marie Lapierre, and François Roberge, Chair of the mmode Cluster, engaged with industry stakeholders to explore the challenges and future pathways of the textile and apparel sectors.

Key Highlights:

  • 2,150 visitors representing more than 1,000 companies
  • 100+ exhibitors from 8+ countries
  • 24 knowledge-packed conferences with 38 expert speakers
  • 1,500+ conference attendees, showing high engagement

According to Thierry Langlais, Vice President of Operations at Première Vision, the turnout and enthusiasm confirmed the demand for this new Canadian platform, especially amid global economic uncertainty. Plans are already underway for the next edition in 2026.

Mathieu St-Arnaud Lavoie, General Director of mmode, expressed pride in showcasing Montréal’s dynamic fashion community on an international stage. He emphasized the importance of the event in strengthening the city’s identity as a center of innovation and creativity in fashion.

With strong engagement from both exhibitors and attendees, Première Vision Montréal has solidified itself as a key textile and fashion event for Canada—laying the foundation for a highly anticipated return in 2026.
