Première Vision Montréal 2026 Highlights Manufacturing Expansion and Business Growth Opportunities

Second edition strengthens Montréal’s position as a key fashion sourcing and networking hub for the North American market
Première Vision Montréal concluded its latest edition with participation from exhibitors, designers, sourcing professionals, and industry decision-makers representing the Canadian and North American fashion sectors. The event focused on business networking, sourcing opportunities, and manufacturing collaboration while reinforcing Montréal’s position within the regional fashion and textile industry.
According to the organisers, the event generated strong engagement from visitors and exhibitors despite ongoing economic conditions and evolving trade relationships across North America. The exhibition also recorded participation from several new brands, contributing to business discussions and networking activities during the event.
The organisers stated that attendance included professionals from multiple segments of the fashion supply chain, including design, sourcing, production, and retail. The increasing presence of companies from Toronto and Ontario was also highlighted as an indication of the event’s growing reach beyond Québec.
Florence Rousson, Chairwoman of the Executive Board of Première Vision and CEO of the Fashion Division of GL events Groupe, said: “I am very pleased with the success of this second edition of Premiere Vision Montreal. Supporting the market by fostering new business opportunities is at the heart of our mission, and this edition has once again demonstrated its relevance. We are now looking forward to further strengthening our presence in Montreal, with many more ambitious and inspiring projects to come.”
This edition of Première Vision Montréal also introduced a broader focus on manufacturing activities in response to market demand. Organisers stated that the expansion aimed to provide participants with a more comprehensive view of the fashion supply chain, ranging from raw material production to finished retail products.
Mathieu St-Arnaud Lavoie, Executive Manager, mmode - The Montreal Fashion Cluster, said: “The success of Première Vision Montréal extends far beyond that of a typical trade show. It is a testament to the creative vitality of the ecosystem, the strength of business tourism, and the economic impact that fashion and apparel generate for Montreal and Quebec. Bringing together more than 2,000 industry players from here and abroad for this second edition marks an important milestone and signals great ambitions for the future.”
Sustainability initiatives were also featured during the event through a student upcycling challenge involving five universities in Quebec. Participants were tasked with transforming materials from the previous edition, including signage banners and recycled denim, into garments, textiles, or accessories.
The winning project was created by Christophe Paré and Grégoire Cantin from the École Supérieure de Mode. Their recycled denim design was selected by the jury based on creativity and execution. The winners received a three-day trip to Première Vision Paris, where they are scheduled to present their work in September 2026.
