- Net profit: ₹8.37 crore, compared with ₹7.37 crore in FY25.
- Revenue growth: Nearly 20% year-on-year.
- Net profit growth: Around 14% year-on-year.
The financial performance provides a foundation for the company's plans to expand its operations and strengthen its presence in the baby care and kidswear segments.
Diversified Product Portfolio Supports Expansion Plans
Popees offers a range of products for newborns, children and mothers. Its portfolio includes newborn and children's clothing, diapers, wipes, toiletries, infant essentials, maternity wear, footwear and other baby care products.
The company plans to bring this range to a wider national market, targeting families looking for products for newborns and growing children.
Its diversified portfolio is expected to support efforts to expand beyond existing markets and reach consumers in additional parts of India.
Manufacturing Network Spans Three States
Popees operates three manufacturing facilities across Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, with a combined installed production capacity of approximately nine lakh sets per month.
The manufacturing network, supported by the company's existing retail and distribution presence, provides the operational base for its planned expansion.
India's baby care and children's products segment offers opportunities for brands that combine product variety, quality and distribution reach. Popees aims to build on its established market position and manufacturing infrastructure to increase its national presence.
CRISIL Assigns Ratings to Bank Facilities
Popees' business profile has also received recognition through ratings assigned by CRISIL Ratings. The agency assigned CRISIL BBB/Stable to the company's long-term bank facilities and CRISIL A3+ to its short-term facilities, covering total bank facilities of ₹50 crore.
According to the company, CRISIL cited factors including the promoters' nearly 25 years of experience in the baby and kidswear segment, the established market position of the Popees brand, business growth and financial profile.
