Pearl Global Industries Expands Bangladesh Manufacturing and Laundry Capacity

New facility adds approximately 7 million pieces annually, taking total installed manufacturing capacity to around 108 million pieces

Pearl Global Industries Limited (PGIL) (BSE: 532808) (NSE: PGIL) has commissioned a new manufacturing facility and expanded its sustainable laundry capacity in Bangladesh. The new manufacturing unit adds approximately 7 million pieces of annual garment capacity, taking the company’s total installed manufacturing capacity across geographies to around 108 million pieces per annum at optimum utilisation.

PGIL, India’s largest listed garment exporter, manufactures across multiple sourcing regions in South Asia, South-East Asia and Central America.

New Bangladesh Facility Adds 7 Million Pieces

The newly commissioned manufacturing unit expands Pearl Global’s production capacity in Bangladesh, while the company has also increased its in-house sustainable laundry capacity.

In addition, the expansion of our in-house sustainable laundry capacity will enhance operational efficiency, reduce washing costs and water consumption, and is expected to generate a ROCE of approximately 18–20%.”

The expansion increases Pearl Global’s manufacturing footprint in Bangladesh while adding laundry capacity intended to support operational efficiency, washing costs and water consumption.
