PDS Limited Gets SBTi Approval for Net-Zero Climate Targets

PDS Limited, a global fashion supply chain solutions provider, has strengthened its sustainability roadmap after receiving formal validation from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for its long-term net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions targets. The validation confirms that the company’s climate commitments are aligned with science-based pathways consistent with the Paris Agreement’s objective of limiting global temperature rise.
The SBTi approval reinforces PDS Limited’s strategic focus on embedding sustainability across its global value chain, while accelerating climate action in collaboration with customers, suppliers, and industry partners. By adopting data-driven methodologies and structured emissions monitoring, the company aims to build a low-carbon, resilient supply chain while delivering measurable environmental impact.
Under the validated targets, PDS Limited has committed to reducing absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions by 42.0% by FY2030, cutting absolute Scope 3 emissions by 25% within the same timeframe, and achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its entire value chain by FY2050.
Commenting on the milestone, Sanjay Jain, Group CEO, said, “Securing SBTi approval is a significant milestone that reinforces our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint through structured, data-driven action across our value chain. We remain focused on achieving net-zero by FY2050 and driving meaningful, science-backed climate impact across our operations and the broader ecosystem.”
Paul Wright, Group ESG Director, added, “Our targets are grounded in data, global best practices, and a clear roadmap to reduce emissions meaningfully across Scopes 1, 2, and 3. Achieving these goals requires deep collaboration with our partners and sustained investment in low-carbon solutions. Through our measured efforts, we are dedicated to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across our value chain by FY2050.”
PDS Limited currently tracks and monitors Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions across all owned manufacturing facilities and major office locations. The company has implemented multiple initiatives to lower its carbon footprint, including the adoption of solar energy systems, mangrove restoration programmes, increased use of recycled fabrics, and other sustainability-driven interventions.
As per SBTi guidelines, PDS Limited’s approved near-term and long-term climate targets will be published on the SBTi website, ensuring transparency and accountability in its climate transition journey.
