In today’s context, a paradox represents an optimistic outlook, reigniting consumers’ desires and nurturing well-being. “Daring to step into the light” sets the tone for the S/S 2027 season, introducing a dynamic new fashion narrative. PARADOX serves as the connecting thread for the season’s key trends: AFFECTION, BREATHE, BEWITCHING, and HONOURATION, conceived by top forecasters from Tokyo, Paris, New York, and Milan.

From 11 – 13 March 2026, visitors can explore these trends at the Trend Forum in Hall 5.1, National Exhibition and Convention Center, Shanghai, during Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Spring Edition. The Forum will feature over 700 fabric and accessory samples, with the Trend Guide offering buyers a comprehensive resource for sourcing on-trend fabrics, patterns, prints, and colours.

Trend Highlights:

AFFECTION – Citywear evolves into easywear, emphasizing comfort and encouraging exploration. This theme merges masculine and feminine elements, blending traditional craftsmanship with sporty codes. Palette: subtle neutrals, whites, off-whites, soft greys, greenery, and new-dawn yellow. Fabrics combine tech materials and fine wool, featuring delicate checks, subtle stripes, and prints reflecting everyday poetry.

BREATHE – Nautical codes meet urban elegance and functional adaptability. Iconic beach stripes inspire a joyful, sunlit casual wardrobe. Palette: invigorating aqua and oxygenated blues. Fabrics integrate innovative tech with soft touch, including burnout jacquard, satin finishes, and wave-like dévoré denim, creating casual yet elegant layering.

BEWITCHING – Celebrating everyday sensuality and ancestral craftsmanship, this theme inspires women through fluid drapes, organic prints, and nocturnal forest motifs. Palette: vivid and unusual hues against dark backgrounds. Fabrics include abstract chiffons, organza, silks, tone-on-tone tie-dye, and striped satin, reflecting mystery and sophistication.

HONOURATION – Showcasing artisanal excellence, this theme elevates modest natural materials into refined, elegant pieces. Palette: warm neutrals contrasted with intense brights. Fabrics feature innovative ikats, geometric abstracts, basketweaves, blurred stripes, and discreet neoclassical flora, highlighting understated craftsmanship.
