NYAI Launches Agentic AI Platform for Legal and Compliance Teams

NYAI AI Studio combines AI agents, workflows, organisational data and governance in a model-agnostic infrastructure

Legal and compliance AI company NYAI has launched NYAI AI Studio, an agentic AI infrastructure platform designed for law firms and legal and compliance functions of enterprises.

The platform enables organisations to build, deploy and govern their own AI agents, multi-agent workflows and applications using organisational data, while selecting AI models according to individual use cases.

NYAI AI Studio brings together data, agents, models, tools, workflows, institutional knowledge and governance within a single environment. The platform is designed to support legal and compliance work from intake through delivery while allowing organisations to retain control over their data and AI deployment.

“Legal and compliance teams cannot treat AI as merely another productivity application. Their work turns on sensitive client information, proprietary institutional knowledge, intricate processes and decisions that demand complete traceability.

Above all, one size does not fit all in legal and compliance. Every firm has its own playbooks, every enterprise its own regulatory footprint, and every matter its own contours. A generic AI tool cannot do justice to that diversity. NYAI AI Studio was, therefore, the need of the hour: a platform on which each organisation builds precisely the agents and workflows its practice demands.”

Model-Agnostic AI Infrastructure

According to NYAI, the growing use of generative AI has created additional governance requirements for legal and compliance organisations, particularly around sensitive data, model usage, access and costs.

NYAI AI Studio is positioned as an infrastructure layer beneath AI applications. It integrates with Claude, GPT, Microsoft Copilot and Gemini, while organisational data remains within the NYAI environment and inference runs through the AI ecosystem selected by each organisation.

The model-agnostic approach allows teams to select different AI models for different tasks rather than relying on one model across all applications.

Custom Agents and Organisational Knowledge

The platform combines ready-to-deploy agents for common legal activities with a builder that allows lawyers and compliance professionals to create their own agents and workflows.

Organisations can incorporate their playbooks, precedents, clause libraries and escalation protocols into bespoke agents, tools, skills and workflows.

A knowledge graph and organisational memory retain matter-level and institutional context, allowing information generated through engagements to contribute to future work.

Multi-Agent Workflows for Legal Processes

NYAI AI Studio supports individual tasks such as research, drafting, summarisation, chronologies and redlining, as well as workflows involving multiple AI agents.

For example, during mergers and acquisitions due diligence, specialised agents can classify documents, extract metadata, analyse risks and consolidate findings into a matter-level report.

The architecture can also be applied to land and title due diligence, statutory compliance, regulatory monitoring and audits, among other legal and compliance processes.

Five Ways to Deploy AI

NYAI AI Studio provides five deployment approaches:

  • Legal Tools: Research, drafting, summaries, chronologies, redlines, contract lifecycle management and custom agent calls.
  • Compliance Management: Obligation identification, penalty computation, obligation monitoring, compliance fulfilment, AI-based audit and evidence tracking.
  • Custom Agents: Agents, workflows, tools and skills built in-house and connected to external generative AI models.
  • Off-the-Shelf Solutions: Ready solutions for intake, due diligence and DPDP consent management.
  • Custom AI Applications: Organisation-specific interfaces and applications built and hosted on the Studio and powered by its agents, tools and workflows.

Platform Capabilities

The platform includes:

  • AI agents and multi-agent orchestration
  • Reusable tools and skills
  • Custom workflows and scheduling
  • Knowledge graph and organisational memory
  • Model-agnostic AI orchestration
  • API gateway and MCP server
  • Governance, evaluation, RBAC, SSO and audit logs
  • Data privacy and security controls
  • Legal data corpus alongside organisational data

Integrations With Existing Work Environments

NYAI AI Studio has more than 100 integrations, including iManage, SAP, DocuSign, Salesforce, leading storage platforms, email and WhatsApp.

The integrations are designed to enable agentic workflows within the environments already used by legal and compliance professionals.

“Our objective is not to replace the existing legal-technology stack with another collection of point solutions. It is to provide the infrastructure on which organisations build their own AI-native legal and compliance operations.”

Three Deployment Models

NYAI AI Studio is available through three deployment models based on organisations' data residency and security requirements:

  1. Software as a Service (SaaS)
  2. Isolated deployment on hyperscalers
  3. Air-gapped, on-premise deployment

The deployment options include role-based access controls, single sign-on, model evaluation and audit trails, allowing organisations to manage access to sensitive data, institutional knowledge and AI governance.

The announcement includes a placeholder regarding security certifications, stating that certifications such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2 may be added if held.

Expansion Plans

NYAI AI Studio is available in India with immediate effect. The company plans to extend the platform to the Middle East, the United States, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region in the coming quarter.
