NIFT to Showcase Innovation in Textile Design & Fashion Management in Graduation Show

The National Institute of Fashion Technology, Daman is set to host its Graduation Show 2026 on 24th May, 6:00 PM onwards, at Hotel Deltin, Daman. The event will celebrate the graduating batch of Bachelor of Design (Textile Design) and Master of Fashion Management programs.The Graduation Project Show, popularly known as the GP Show, marks the culmination of six months of intensive industry-linked graduation projects undertaken by the students. The showcase reflects NIFT Daman’s commitment to bridging academic excellence with real-world industry challenges. 

21 students from the B.Des. The Textile Design batch completed their graduation projects across diverse verticals including home furnishing, apparel fabrics, handicraft development, and sustainable textiles. Working with leading textile mills, export houses, and design studios, the students have developed extensive design collections that blend traditional craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics. These collections, featuring innovative weaves, prints, and surface developments, will be on display at the GP Show, offering industry a glimpse into the next generation of textile talent. 

Students of the Master of Fashion Management program undertook projects in core domains such as merchandising, retail planning, digital marketing, supply chain, and brand management. They collaborated with major national brands, export houses, and e-commerce platforms to develop strategic interventions and data-driven solutions for current industry problems. The batch has already earned significant recognition, with several students receiving Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) based on their outstanding internship and project work. Others have secured placements with reputed companies across the fashion and retail sector. 

The GP Show serves as a platform for industry to engage directly with emerging professionals. The event will be graced by senior industry leaders, bureaucrats, and policymakers.. Their presence underscores the importance of nurturing young talent for India’s growing textile and fashion economy. 

Speaking about the event, the Campus Director, Dr Sanjay Shrivastava, NIFT Daman said, “The Graduation Show is a culmination of our students’ hard work, creativity, and industry readiness. In six months, they have moved from classrooms to boardrooms, solving real business problems and creating market-ready design solutions. We are proud of this batch and confident they will contribute meaningfully to the industry.”The Graduation Show 2026 will feature walk-through displays, project presentations, and interaction sessions with the graduating students. It offers recruiters, entrepreneurs, and industry stakeholders an opportunity to discover fresh talent and explore collaboration avenues.
