NIFT Converges at God’s Own Land – Converge ’25 at NIFT Kannur from 7th to 9th October

National Institute of Fashion Technology is all set to host Converge 2025, the National NIFT Cultural and Sports Meet, scheduled to be held from 7th to 9th October 2025 at the NIFT Kannur Campus and Kannur University Sports Ground. The three-day national event will bring together over 1,000 students from 19 NIFT campuses across India, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Gandhinagar, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Kannur, Patna, Shillong, Kangra, Raebareli, Jodhpur, Srinagar, Panchkula, Daman, and Varanasi.
Set in God’s Own Land—Kerala—and hosted in the scenic district of Kannur, known as the Land of God, Converge ’25 promises to be a grand celebration of youth, creativity, intellect, and athletic excellence. The event will feature an array of cultural performances, literary contests, and competitive sporting events, creating a spirited environment where talent meets tradition and innovation thrives.

The inaugural function will be addressed by Prof. Dr. K. K. Saju, Vice Chancellor of Kannur University, as the Chief Guest, while Ms. Tanu Kashyap, IAS, Director General of NIFT, will preside over the ceremony. The festival aims to unite students from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds under one banner of collaboration, creativity, and celebration.
Speaking about the event, Col. Akhil Kumar Kulshreshtha (Director, NIFT Kannur) shared that Converge is more than a festival—it is a celebration of teamwork, inclusivity, and the collective spirit of NIFTians nationwide. He added that Kannur, with its warmth, cultural richness, and natural charm, is fully prepared to welcome participants and guests with enthusiasm and pride.
Prof. Abhilash Balan P, Prof. Mukthy Sumangala, Prof. Ezhilanban J. J., and Dr. Pavol Sahadevan expressed that the preparation for Converge ’25 reflects the dedication and unity of NIFT Kannur’s faculty, staff, and student body. Together, they envision the event as a landmark celebration enhancing inter-campus bonds, sportsmanship, and creative synergy.
With participation from 19 NIFT centres across India, Converge 2025 stands as a symbol of NIFT’s nationwide spirit—celebrating art, design, intellect, and sportsmanship at the heart of God’s Own Country.
