vTexShow Sets New Benchmark For Virtual Exhibitions

The Non-Profit Initiative By Textile Excellence Brings Thousands Of Business Visitors Across Continents To Converge Into Doing Business In New Normal Way!

Mumbai: The vTexShow hosted between 21-26 September 2020, received overwhelming response, with the who’s who of the textile and apparel industry visiting the show. Almost 10,000 visitors met with the exhibitors at the show and discussed business. This was part of non-profit initiative by Textile Excellence to ‘Re-Energise the Textile & Clothing Business’. It was first of its kind virtual textile exhibition which has set a benchmark in terms of presentation, technology and business interaction methods and tools, replicating physical exhibition into an online environment. With the success and experience of vTexShow, Textile Excellence would now offer support to organize similar shows to boost business of the industry.

Inaugurating the event, Mr Vijoy Kumar Singh, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, congratulated the organisers for their endeavour to re-energise the textile industry. “In this time of pandemic, this is the most appropriate way to organise textile fairs – a new solution to new problems. This is probably something which can continue later too and complement the physical shows. A virtual show has some inherent advantages, that ensures very focused connections. I congratulate Textile Excellence on its venture.”

Batliboi Textile Machinery Group – a leading textile machinery and technology supplier, was the leading exhibitor with nine reputed principals.  viz Mayer & Cie. GmbH & Co. KG, Germany – Circular Knitting Machines, Mario Crosta SRL, Italy – Dry Finishing Machines, Loris Bellini SRL, Italy – Yarn and Fibre Dyeing Machines, Loptex SRL, Italy – Contamination Sorters for Blow Room, Pozzi Leopolda SRL, Italy – Heat Recovery & Yarn Conditioning System, Eliar Elektronik San A.S., Turkey – Dyes & Chemicals Dispensing System, Busi Giovanni SRL, Italy – Socks Knitting Machines, MAGEBA International GmbH, Germany – High Technology Solution Provider for Narrow Fabric Industries & Intex Consulting Group, Germany – ERP Software Solution.

Abhay Sidham, CEO, said that they were satisfied with the response received during the vTexShow. He believes such virtual exhibitions will be more common in future. “To make it closer to real exhibitions, I would advocate AI augmented reality for video streaming of running machines with the facility of live customer interaction. This will be more interesting for prospective customers to understand exhibits better thus helping their buying decisions,” he said.

Speaking about the show, Vikas Sharan, Director, India Operations, Saurer Textile Solutions Pvt. Ltd., said, “We had a good experience while participating in vTexShow. This was a good effort on the part of Textile Excellence.”

Exhibitors were satisfied with the response at the show. Singapore-based Jascorp, that is into trading and exporting of textile fibres, yarns and fabrics, said the company was able to make some good contacts with market players. Vibrant Reeds said that the company received several new business leads. Dhanesh Weaving, a leading sustainable fabric manufacturer, too reported getting good enquiries for their products, and especially the 100% hemp and hemp-wool needlepunch nonwoven fabrics, which it had launched at vTexShow. GCL International, which is into textile quality and standard certifications also evinced satisfaction with vTexShow.

September was a month of virtual textile exhibitions, with many of the export promotion councils and trade associations also organising their virtual shows. “With 9823 visitors to the six-day vTexShow, we were able to attract a fairly good number of people from across the globe. What’s even more important is that decision makers from top companies from India and abroad visited the show. The most satisfying point is that we could deliver a highly user-friendly platform where visitors and exhibitors could interact closely and even demonstrate their products,” said vTexShow organisers.

vTexShow attracted visitors from India, Armenia, Bangladesh, China, France, Germany, Greece, Indonesia, Japan, Lithuania, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Switzerland, Thailand, UK, USA, Uzbekistan.
