Surat:

One of the top SaaS platforms for e-commerce enablement in India, “Unicommerce,” has opened a new sales office in Surat. In Gujarat, e-commerce has grown significantly within the past few years. The startup wants to give local brands, merchants, and digital entrepreneurs a better platform to investigate the most recent developments in the retail and e-commerce sectors.

On September 21, the company hosted the “eKumbh” business event in Surat, which drew representatives from more than 2000 Gujarati companies.

Gujarat saw a significant YoY order volume rise of 39% during the first half of FY25 (1 April 2024 – 15 September 2024) in comparison to the same time the previous year, according to a recent report by Unicommerce.

This demonstrates the state’s increasing e-commerce trend even more. FMCG & Agriculture, Beauty, Wellness & Personal Care, Fashion & Accessories, and Home Decor were a few areas that saw notable growth.

“Online business is growing continuously in various product categories across the country,” stated Kapil Makhija, MD & CEO of Unicommerce. Gujarat is becoming a major e-commerce growth hotspot, and our new office in Surat will enable us to provide immediate support for the changing needs of businesses in the area. Our mission is to improve operational efficiencies and enable brands to grow quickly in order to compete in a competitive market by offering customized technology solutions.

Unicommerce offers its full technological platform for smooth post-purchase operations management and collaborates with some of the biggest brands and retail enterprises in India. The new office will serve both national and local brands as part of its expansion strategy, strengthening Gujarat’s standing as a crucial market for Unicommerce, which presently supports more than 500 firms.
