Turkmenistan-based Abraýly Dostlar has started production of polypropylene (PP) multifilament yarn under the brand name Polyyarn at its 1,700-square-metre factory located in Ak Bugday etrap in Ahal velayat. Conforming to the European quality standards, the PP multifilament yarns are in 150-6000 denier range with a tenacity of 6.8-7.5 g/denier.

The high-quality yarns are being produced using raw materials from the Kiyanli polymer plant in western Turkmenistan. Production is done on machines supplied by Austria-based SML company. Regular quality control would be done at the company’s own laboratory using Germany’s ZwickRoell equipment and in independent QC companies.

The yarns, produced on machinery with four stretching and winding modules, are used in production of carpets, filtration fabrics, webbings and nets, seatbelts, braided ropes and slings, etc.

Abraýly Dostlar has already received export order from Turkey and the company is planning to export Polyyarn to European countries, Turkmen media reports said.
