Bengaluru, July 25, 2024 – Tredence, On AI Appreciation Day, a prominent provider of data science and AI solutions, successfully wrapped off its international AI hackathon, “Ode to Code: Crafting the future with AI.” 235 people from Tredence offices throughout the world and seven prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) came together for the 24-hour event, and 42 teams were formed to take on real-world issues in a variety of industries.
Teams from Bengaluru, Gurugram, Pune, Kolkata, Chennai, the US, Dubai, and Toronto participated in the hackathon, working together to create creative ideas that had a real-world effect. IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Varanasi (BHU), IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, and IIT Madras were among the IITs that took part. The event’s emphasis on finding solutions to pressing global issues was evident from the projects on display, which included transforming metro system predictions, reducing traffic at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, improving supplier performance and reliability, cutting-edge anti-money laundering platforms with graph-based analysis, AI insights for seamless transactions at SwiftPay, and more.

The goal of the hackathon was to create novel tools and resources for Tredence while tackling actual business issues. It gave IIT students a stage on which to demonstrate their abilities and possibly land jobs in the quickly expanding AI sector.
Hackathons are essential for finding and developing talent as Tredence works to grow its operations and workforce by 60% by mid-2025, both in India and internationally. They also propel technological developments in the domains of data science and artificial intelligence.
