Leading Companies Collaborate to Reduce Setup Time and Ensure Reliable, Resilient Communications Between LG CLOi Robots and Various WMS Solutions.

ATLANTA, March 11, 2024LG Business Solutions USA is deploying its new CLOi CarryBot autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) in US warehouse environments in partnership with SVT Robotics, a top software vendor that enables IT teams to easily connect, manage, and scale automation. Utilizing SVT Robotics’ SOFTBOT® Platform, prebuilt connectors make it simple for the LG CLOi CarryBot AMRs to link to almost any warehouse management system.

LG CLOi CarryBot clients can easily deploy new robots without requiring bespoke code thanks to the SOFTBOT Platform, which lowers risk and lessens IT strain, according to Tom Bingham, Senior Director at LG Business Solutions USA.

According to Bingham, “autonomous robotics are opening up new opportunities to improve employee wellbeing, profitability, productivity, and warehouse efficiency.” “We looked for SVT Robotics because warehouse technology providers are essential to simplifying warehouse operations and because robotic solutions must be completely integrated and interoperable with current systems, such as WMS and WES solutions. Through our partnership with SVT Robotics, we have made CLOi CarryBot integration almost entirely plug-and-play by offering reliable, tested integration software that removes the need for IT teams to rely on hand-coded solutions.

SVT Robotics’ SOFTBOT Platform automates the integration of hardware and software partners, facilitating vertical lifts, packaging automation, material control systems, warehouse management systems, and warehouse execution systems, among other applications. This promotes innovation and lowers total cost of ownership while making it simple for businesses to scale and adjust to shifting business needs. Additionally, IT professionals can monitor and troubleshoot with ease to maximize uptime thanks to a dashboard that provides them with access to system health across various technologies and facilities.

A.K. Schultz, CEO and co-founder of SVT Robotics, stated, “Our mission is to expedite and streamline the deployment of robotics in environments where minutes of downtime can equal thousands of dollars for businesses.” We’re excited to carry out that task for the new LG CLOi CarryBots. LG customers will be able to effortlessly integrate, oversee, and enhance the technology using the SOFTBOT Platform, regardless of whether a warehouse is deploying its first or its hundredth robot.

LG’s CLOi CarryBot, launching in the United States this week at the MODEX 2024 trade show, offers warehouses a powerful, easy-to-use solution that can move up to 1.2 meters per second with 18 hours of runtime and a 6-hour charge time. Up to 100 CarryBots can operate in unison, enabling use in organizations and spaces of any size and complexity. A convenient, intuitive 9.2-inch color touchscreen provides info and control options.

The container-type CarryBot features wide, deep shelves for larger items, while the smaller mounting-type CarryBot is designed to fit into tighter spaces. The mounting-type model also includes an integrated holder for barcode scanners to further simplify operations.
