Centre of Excellence: Meditech Location: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu Based on the exemplary performance of SITRA in Medical Textiles, a Centre of Excellence for Medical Textiles has been established at SITRA’s premises under Mini Mission I of Technology Mission on Technical Textiles (TMTT), promoted by Office of the Textile Commissioner, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. The research activities at this centre now aims at developing medical textile products and devices of healthcare and hygiene, implantable, non-implantable and extracorporeal.
