According to NPD Group, sales turnover for women’s bags in the United States from March to August 2021 was only 2% lower than pre-pandemic levels in 2019.
According to a company analyst, the products recovered faster than expected, owing to a resurgence of daily travel and extracurricular interaction, which resulted in increased sales of fashion goods. Shoulder bag revenue increased by 14%, clutch bag revenue increased by 2%, and cosmetic cases led the pack with a 48 percent increase over 2019 figures. Meanwhile, office briefcases fell by 5%, while tote bags made of synthetic fell by only 1%.
