Livinguard, an antimicrobial inventor, has announced that their treated protective face masks are now effective against the Indian isolate of SARS-CoV-2, also known as the Delta variant, which has proven to be one of the virus’s deadliest forms.
The unique non-leaching solution of Livinguard catches and destroys odor-causing microorganisms.
The Livinguard technology is based on the deactivation of microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses. The technique charges textile surfaces with a positive charge at the molecular level, making them more potent than microorganisms’ negative charge. As a result, microorganisms are rendered inactive when they come into contact with Livinguard technology.
Livinguard, the -based company behind the Livinguard mask, has released lab tests on its masks to determine their efficacy against the SARS-CoV-2 variant. Each layer of the mask had an average of 99 per cent effectiveness against the virus. The World Health Organization recently urged fully vaccinated people to continue wearing masks as the Delta variant lingers.
Livinguard, the company behind the self-disinfecting mask, has announced a new line of t-shirts and polos to offer customers greater protection against SARS-CoV-2. Livinguard CEO “We are making everything possible to address the demand from the increasing number of regions that are making it mandatory to wear a mask outside and inside again” In July, the Switzerland-based company launched a line of shirts with permanent antiviral and bacteria-fighting properties.
