Textiles are the most expensive private final consumption item in FY22, followed by alcohol and footwear.

According to a report by the Statistics Ministry, spending on apparel had the highest growth rate among the numerous categories included in the Private Final Consumption Expenditure (PFCE) in FY22, followed by alcohol and footwear. However, the increase in food costs was only a few percentage points.

The final consumption expenditure of households and NPISH (non-profit institutions serving homes), including temples and gurdwaras, is included in PFCE.According to a report by the Statistics Ministry, spending on apparel had the highest growth rate among the numerous categories included in the Private Final Consumption Expenditure (PFCE) in FY22, followed by alcohol and footwear. The final consumption expenditure of households and nonprofit organisations that provide services to households is included in PFCE. like as temples and gurdwaras (NPISH).
