Textile Value Chain Conference

We are organizing a Textile Value Chain Conference at Malegaon on July 3, 2021. The event is organized by Textile Value Chain supported by the following Associations

– Malegaon Powerloom Udyog Vikas Samety
– Taluka Malegaon Powerloom Sangarsh Samiti

About Malegaon Textile Industry:
– Malegaon Powerloom Sector is the 2nd biggest sector in Maharashtra after Bhiwandi
– Around 3 lakh powerlooms in the textile town owned by 10,000 to 12,000 people.
– Currently, Malegaon has more than 1000 looms including rapier, water jet and air jet wider width looms. And every day the city is adding more and more such looms.
– Approximately 2 crore metres of Grey cloth daily worth INR 30 – 40 crores
– Malegaon majority of cotton produce go to Pali and Balotra in Rajasthan.
– Majority of Synthetic produced go to Surat and Ahmedabad in Gujarat. Some percentage also goes to places like Mumbai and other parts of the country.
– Malegaon currently directly exports its produce. But, there are exporters who buy from local dealers and export with their name.
– Most of the Cotton yarn comes from South India. Synthetic yarn comes mostly from Gujarat.
