TTBC is one of the key deliverables of the PaCT Program, which aims to be a leading knowledge as far as green technologies for the textile & RMG industry is concerned. Given the lack of credible information on technologies & technology suppliers, TTBC was created to promote knowledge and technology transfer, as well as to facilitate business linkages between textile factories and technology suppliers.

So far, the Centre has been playing an important role in building capacity of the industry through technical training programs & knowledge-sharing sessions, which aqe crucial for making continued progress toward sustainability and also to enhance their global competitiveness. Furthermore, the Centre has supported in the area of cleaner production, combined energy efficiency & productivity, and rooftop solar PV. The Centre further initiated business-to-business linkages between factories and technology vendors for manufacturers to achieve efficiency in their production.

ln a nutshell TTBC’s services include –
. Business-to-Business (82B) linkages between Technology Suppliers, Service Providers, Financial
institutions, and factories;
. Bridging the gaps by offering services tailored to the specific needs of its members;
. Promotion of resource-efficient technologies, (eg. low liquor ratio dyeing process, new generation
dyes & chemicals, advanced ETP technologies, cogeneration etc.);
. Promotion of alternative sources of energy to reduce fossil fuel dependency (eg. solar technology);
. Capacity building program (eg. training, workshop, user group meeting for factory staff).

Moreover, TTBC provides a platform for networking and collaboration. lt brings together textile entrepreneurs, manufacturers, suppliers, and industry professionals under one roof, creating opportunities for partnerships and knowledge sharing. This collaborative environment fosters innovation and facilitates the exchange of ideas, ultimately promoting the growth and success of businesses in the textile sector.

Over the years, TTBC has facilitated more than 103 B2B linkages among factories & technology
suppliers & organized 58 workshops & trainings that was attended by more than 2300 participants. Currently it has more than 200members. Furthermore, TTBC developed knowledge materials on updated technologies and case studies on implementation of latest technologies.

Recently BGMEA has taken over the TTBC from IFC to continue its activities beyond the PaCT program Currently, TTBC is staffed by the Textile Specialist with an extensive experience at the factory level, resource Efficiency Specialist with expertise at the factory level; communication & Knowledge Management Specialist with a widespread experience in the development sector projects including research & new business development; administration & Business Development Officer with extensive involvement in the Development Projects of RMG& Textile sector including working knowledge in the stakeholder policymaking framework.
