Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Minister for Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, and Rural Water Supply, announced on Thursday that the mini textile park planned for Kodakandla in the Palakurti Constituency would soon have its cornerstone put.

He and the concerned officials discussed the state of the preparation work at the potential location. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao promised that the Kodakandla mini-textile park would soon be built.

Dayakar Rao stated that the Minister for Industries and IT has offered his assistance in obtaining the required licences for creating the small textile park. Even the property needed to create the park had been acquired. The Minister claimed that handloom artisans from Kodakandla’s surrounding districts had previously migrated to cities like Mumbai, Bhiwandi, and Surat. They would have better employment chances if a mini-park similar to the one in Sircilla were built, he claimed.
