The 10th edition of FILTREX™, EDANA’s premier event for the filtration industry, successfully concluded last week after two dynamic days of discussions, technological advancements, and industry collaboration. Gathering over 100 professionals, the event explored critical topics in air and liquid filtration, sustainability, and regulatory challenges.

Industry Reflections on FILTREX™ 2025

A highlight of the event was the FILTREX™ Innovation Award 2025, which recognized Johns Manville for its Evalith® product—a groundbreaking recycling process that transforms HVAC glass microfiber waste into durable second-life products. The award was presented during a Networking Evening Cocktail at Vienna’s Kunsthistorisches Museum, fostering further discussions and collaborations.

Advancing PFAS-Free Filtration

The closing session addressed the urgent need for PFAS-free filtration solutions, highlighting advancements such as high-performance PFAS-free HEPA media and nanofiber membranes. Industry leaders discussed upcoming regulatory changes and the ongoing push for safer alternatives.
