LONDON, 29 JUNE 2020: SupplyCompass, an end-to-end production software for fashion brands and manufacturers, has announced it will be hosting a webinar in collaboration with Good On You and Farfetch, exploring ‘What Makes a Sustainable Fashion Brand’.
The SupplyCompass webinar – which is being hosted at 11am BST on Thursday 16 July – will delve into the burgeoning and critical growth of sustainability in fashion, and how it is shaped by consumer choices and business innovation. The speakers include Sandra Capponi, Co-Founder of Good On You, and Tom Berry, Global Director Sustainable Business at Farfetch, alongside SupplyCompass Co-Founder, Flora Davidson.
Together the panellists will discuss the different dimensions of sustainability, from defining sustainable fashion and greenwashing to why sustainable fashion matters and the role for consumers. They will aim to cover huge ground, including the most important aspects for brands to consider, leading industry examples and standards, the interplay of retail and technology, and how honest, effective communications to inform customer purchases are integral to creating a positive future in fashion. Attendees will be able to submit their questions ahead of the webinar, some of which will be answered live by the panellists.
Flora started her career working for an innovation and strategy agency working with the likes of Adidas and L’Oréal. She spent two formative years living in Mumbai at the start of
SupplyCompass, visiting hundreds of factories and suppliers across the country. She
remains passionate about harnessing the power of technology to encourage better
collaboration, drive efficiency and make sustainable production accessible to fashion brands
and supply chains across the globe.
Sandra Capponi is the co-founder of Good On You, the #1 sustainability ratings and discovery platform for fashion. Since 2015, Good On You has rated over 2,500 brands for their impact and empowered millions of people to buy better. Tom has been working with companies on strategy and sustainability for the past 20 years.
He now leads the Sustainable Business agenda at Farfetch. The work ranges from driving
innovation in new circular business models, inspiring and engaging our customers to buy
