Imphal: The Manipur Handloom & Handicraft Development Corporation has supplied yarn at a discounted cost to Muslim weavers in the Wangoi assembly constituency in celebration of the Idul Zuha holiday.
On Sunday, the yarns were given during a small celebration hosted at the Wangoi Keithel community centre. During the event, corporation chairman S Achouba stated that the yarns were given to Muslim weavers in the hope that they would make some money before the next Idul Zuha festival.
Asserting that vaccination is the most effective means of protecting against Covid-19, he urged constituents to be vaccinated against the virus and help combat the epidemic.
He also promised to organise a community immunisation campaign if necessary. According to a declaration issued by the chief minister, Biren, vaccination certificates may soon become required for some sorts of activity.
He also asked everyone to carefully adhere to Covid-appropriate behaviour and adhere to applicable government SOPs.
