Through a new partnership agreement, which names Valmet as Spinnova Plc’s exclusive supplier of process equipment for its technology customers, the two companies have strengthened their partnership. The actual project deliverables determine the exclusivity charge. According to Spinnova, there won’t be any appreciable effects from this arrangement on the company’s finances in 2024.
Prior to this, Woodspin’s factory, a joint venture between Spinnova and Suzano, benefited from drying technology given by Valmet, a company renowned for its leadership role in process technologies. The two businesses will keep working together to lower capital and operating expenses in order to increase the competitiveness of fiber manufacturing. The CEO of Spinnova, Tuomas Oijala, expressed excitement about the continued collaboration, emphasizing how the combination of Valmet’s global experience and Spinnova’s cutting-edge fiber technology will hasten the company’s development toward its cost-competitiveness and technological objectives. It is anticipated that the alliance would also draw in new technology clients who are currently involved in pulping and material processing.
The president of Valmet’s Paper Business Line, Petri Rasinmäki, underlined this idea and emphasized the company’s dedication to being a major player in the textile industry’s sustainable development. He pointed out that by keeping up the partnership with Spinnova, Valmet will be able to further capitalize on its experience and raise its profile in the textile industry.
