The Solapur Garment Manufacturing Association (SGMA) is gearing up to host the 8th International Uniform Manufacturers Fair (IUMF) 2024, a significant event for the global textile industry. Scheduled to take place from December 18th to 20th in Bengaluru, the fair promises to be a showcase of India’s burgeoning textile sector, particularly in the uniform manufacturing domain.
A Kaleidoscope of Uniform Innovations
The event, to be inaugurated by Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan, will feature over 120 leading brands, offering a dazzling array of more than 10,000 uniform designs and 25,000 fabric designs. Beyond uniforms, the exhibition will also feature a wide range of complementary products, including ties, belts, school shoes, socks, bags, blazers, and garment-related machinery.
A Platform for Industry Convergence
The IUMF 2024 provides an invaluable platform for uniform manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors to connect, collaborate, and explore the latest industry trends. The event aims to strengthen Solapur’s position as a global hub for uniform production, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of making India a textile powerhouse.
A Booming Global Market
The global uniform market is experiencing significant growth, with projections estimating a surge from $8.4 billion to $25 billion by 2030. SGMA’s initiatives have been instrumental in fostering a thriving textile ecosystem, nurturing new entrepreneurs, and generating employment opportunities. Since its inception in 2017, the IUMF has successfully expanded its reach to major cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Hyderabad.
As the 8th International Uniform Manufacturers Fair unfolds, it is poised to reinforce India’s position as a major player in the global textile industry, driving innovation, growth, and economic prosperity.
