SIMTA Joins ITMF as Corporate Member to Expand Global Reach

SIMTA, an Indian manufacturer of specialised textile machinery and automation solutions, has joined the International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF) as a Corporate Member, marking an important milestone in the company’s international growth journey.
Over the past two decades, SIMTA has steadily built its reputation as a producer of high-precision machinery for the textile industry. The company initially gained prominence as a trusted supplier of precision rollers to leading original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Building on this foundation, SIMTA expanded its portfolio to include overhead cleaners, bobbin transport systems and a range of textile ancillary solutions.
Today, SIMTA is recognised as a leading player in this segment, supported by its close collaboration with German automation technology partner Jacobi. This partnership has enabled SIMTA to deliver advanced, reliable and scalable automation solutions aligned with global textile manufacturing requirements.
Commenting on SIMTA’s inclusion in ITMF, Mr. Christian Schindler, Director General of ITMF, said:
“Welcoming SIMTA as a new Corporate Member of ITMF underscores the growing relevance of the Indian textile machinery industry. Textile machinery companies are key players in the textile value chain and within ITMF, providing essential innovations and solutions that help address challenges such as labour shortages or the need to digitize the value chain. By joining ITMF, SIMTA gains access to a unique global platform for information exchange, dialogue, and industry networking. We are confident that SIMTA will benefit from the wide range of services ITMF offers, including statistics, reports, surveys, webinars, and, of course, the networking opportunities provided through our conferences, workshops, and excursions.”
From SIMTA’s perspective, the ITMF membership aligns closely with its long-term strategic objectives. Mr. Senthil Kumar, Executive Director of SIMTA, stated:
“Joining ITMF is a logical step in SIMTA’s ongoing internationalization process. ITMF provides a unique international forum that enables SIMTA to actively participate in industry discussions, helping us better understand and contribute to shaping global dynamics within the textile value chain. The access to exclusive information will help us to develop and continuously adapt our business strategy. Our association with ITMF reinforces our commitment to strengthening our position as a supplier of technologies and solutions for the global textile value chain.”
With this membership, SIMTA gains access to ITMF’s global knowledge ecosystem, including market intelligence, industry surveys, policy discussions and high-level networking platforms. The move further highlights the rising role of Indian textile machinery manufacturers in supporting innovation, automation and digital transformation across the global textile value chain.
