Leading polyester manufacturer Shinkong Synthetic Fibers Corp. has invested a substantial $10 million in Ambercycle’s first commercial operation. By utilizing their cutting-edge molecular regeneration technology, this investment seeks to increase Ambercycle’s premium material’s capacity for production worldwide. The material is manufactured from end-of-life textiles.

The collaboration has been crucial in supplying the growing need for sustainable materials in the textile sector by producing regenerated yarns under the Cycora® brand. Shay Sethi, co-founder and CEO of Ambercycle, said, “This investment signifies a crucial milestone in our endeavor to make circular materials widely available.”

When Ambercycle’s next facility opens in 2026, both businesses will be in a better position to service the increasing demand and promote the global transition to circular materials. We can’t wait to strengthen our alliance with Shinkong. We can expand to satisfy our clients’ increasing demands and push the limits of sustainable textile production thanks to this investment, Sethi continued.

The chairman of Shinkong Synthetic Fibers, Eric Wu, highlighted the significance of this investment by saying, “We are excited to support Ambercycle’s expansion as we recognize their leadership in circular solutions.” We regard investing in their new facility as a commitment to leading the way in the use of decarbonized polyester, which is essential to our industry, rather than just a calculated strategic move.
