SGCCI urged textile secretary to release power tex subsidy of weavers

Surat : The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry(SGCCI) urges textile Secretary (GoI) Rachna Shah to release pending subsidy of weavers under the Power Tax Stand Up India Scheme.

SGCCI President Ramesh Vaghasia said, the subsidy of many weavers of Surat is still pending under the Power Tax Stand Up India Scheme. Before some time, 124 weavers had submitted their responses to various queries before the Chamber. SGCCI had a detailed discussion with textile secretary Rachna Shah at New Delhi on Thursday and proposed to release weaver’s subsidy at the earliest.

Apart from this, in various cases where JIT(Joint Inspection Team) verification is pending, it was suggested to conduct JIT as soon as possible. In cases where JIT has been done and there is no query, a proposal was made to release the subsidy immediately. There are some cases where the JIT has been done, but the claims have not been uploaded due to the closure of the portal.

The textile Secretary assured them that she will look into the pending subsidy issue and try to solve the problem at the earliest.

Moreover, in their discussion with textile secretary at New Delhi, SGCCI President Ramesh Vaghasia and Vice President Vijay Mewawala said that, SGCCI can play an important role in allotment of plots in PM MITRA Park at Vansi-Borsi near Navsari.
