SGCCI Delegation meets Government Officials of West Virginia State Assembly to enhance bilateral trade

A delegation of The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry(SGCCI) visited the State Assembly of the State of West Virginia in America on 15th April, 2024. They held an interactive meeting at the President’s Conference Room in the Governor’s House. SGCCI President Mr. Ramesh Vaghasia gave the details about SGCCI Global Connect Mission 84. Both SGCCI and West Virginia State Assembly Government Officials held a detailed discussion on enhancing bilateral trade.

The Senate Member and Majority Leader Mr. Tom Takubo, Senator Glandizephies (Chairman, Economic Development Committee), President and Lieutenant Governor Mr. Craig P. Mr. James M. Blair, Cabinet Secretary to the Department of Commerce from the Govt. Bailey, Mr. Mitch Garmichiel, Cabinet Secretary of the Department of Economic Development, Mr. Clay Riley of the West Virginia Legislature, House of Delegates and other government officials were present in the session.

The issues related to demand, production, import-export and trade growth of medical devices and pharma products in India and the state of West Virginia were discussed.
SGCCI President Ramesh Vaghasia said, Surat is the largest producer of solar panels in India. The solar panels produced in Surat can be exported to West Virginia or by setting up a solar panel manufacturing plant in West Virginia in collaboration with the entrepreneurs of Surat and it can be sold all over America.

He also gave information about the unique product ‘Nano Urea’ developed by Indian Farmers Fertilization Co-operative Limited (IFFCO). This unique product is being promoted by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi. He further informed that the farmers of the state of West Virginia can also get the benefit of nano urea and this product can also be imported from India to West Virginia.

Along with the delegation of SGCCI, Mr. Rashidbhai Ajij (Managing Director, International Insight Solutions LLC, Chicago), Mr. Sadabhai Ajij (CEO, Nuvomed) and Mr. Nitin Kumar also joined the entrepreneurs of America and discussed various business opportunities in detail. Senate Member Mr. Tom Takubo and Lieutenant Governor Mr. Craig P. Blair along with his Secretariat officials welcomed the ambitious vision “SGCCI Global Connect Mission 84” and assured full cooperation in the future as well.
