S.P. Retail Brands, promoted by Chenduran Sundar, one of the directors of Indian kidswear manufacturer SP Apparels, recently acquired UK-based premium kidswear brand Angel & Rocket. Through this, the company aims to diversify its portfolio and tap into India’s kidswear market. The focus will be on quality, contemporary styling and sustainability.

There are plans to add other brands to its portfolio as well, according to Indian media reports.

The Indian kids apparel market was worth $14.9 billion in 2019.
Managing director Sundar said the Angel & Rocket brand will be expanded aggressively in India by opening more than 350 large format stores, exclusive brand outlets, franchise stores and shop-in-shops across metros and tier 1 cities in the next five years.

The company has also partnered with Shoppers Stop, Lifestyle, Tata Cliq and First Cry and Little Tags to sell Angel & Rocket products.
