Karl Mayer has expanded the use of its 4D-Knit spacer textiles by experimenting with finer gauges on its jacquard, double needle bar raschel technology.

With the creation of 4D-Knit, Karl Mayer has reinvented the concept of warp knitted spacer textiles. The phrase refers to a whole new generation of spacer textiles that are built on the fundamental structure of classic 3D warp knits but depart substantially from typical patterns. To produce unparalleled visual effects, the gap between the top and lower can be filled with bulked yarns.
Karl Mayer’s new RDPJ 6/2 EL FB fabric is lighter in weight than its E24 cousin and feels pleasant to the touch. With its two jacquard bars, the front and back sides of the top come together as a single piece with a stylish 3-dimensional bulky appearance. The short repeat of high-low effects decreases the fabric’s contact area with the skin, reducing any uncomfortable stickiness generated by the cloth.
