The development of Dry Molded Fiber bottle caps, which are presently being tested with the Bottle Collective, has been announced by PulPac, the company that invented the technology, and PA Consulting, a global innovation consultancy.Businesses may help the environment by switching to dry-molded fiber caps instead of plastic ones, giving customers a more environmentally friendly option. More fiber-based closures and caps are on the horizon from PulPac and PA; this is the first of many developments to come.

“We are thrilled to introduce this new bottle cap as a part of our partnership with the Bottle Collective,” Jamie Stone, a PA Consulting expert in design, innovation, and sustainability, said. “This latest innovation offers a scalable and sustainable alternative to single-use packaging by enabling the production of entire bottles made with Dry Molded Fiber technology.”

The Bottle Collective, a collaborative effort by PulPac and PA Consulting, aims to introduce dry-molded fiber bottles on a wide scale by 2025 and has members such as Diageo, Logoplaste, Haleon, and Sanofi.

For a range of caps and closures, PulPac’s Dry Molded Fiber technology is perfect, enabling manufacturers to increase sustainability without compromising performance. Targeting over 95% fiber-based material in items like caps and closures, this innovation supports global efforts to reduce plastic waste and promote circular economies while assisting businesses in meeting their sustainability goals.

“We’re just now getting started on this technology’s full potential. Whether preparing meals for the family, presenting drinks to visitors, or making a morning cup of coffee, Dry Molded Fiber items can be easily incorporated into daily life. “These products provide high-performance, sustainable packaging solutions,” stated PulPac’s Chief Commercial Officer, Sanna Fager.
