Prime Polymer awards Toyo Engineering a contract for the building of a new PP facility in Chiba

According to the company’s news release, Toyo Engineering Corporation (TOYO) has been granted a contract from Prime Polymer to build a polypropylene (PP) facility in Ichihara-shi, Chiba, Japan.
TOYO will complete the EPC contract on a turn-key basis, which covers engineering, procurement, and construction.
The new facility will have a manufacturing capacity of 200,000 mt per year. The building worlds are expected to be completed in 2024.
TEC Project Services Corp., a subsidiary of Toyo Engineering, was awarded a propylene splitter project from Maruzen Petrochemical to produce a “high-grade product” in Chiba, Japan. TEC will be responsible for detailed engineering, procurement of equipment and materials, and construction. Completion is scheduled in 2021 supply of homopolymer PP and block-copolymers of propylene (PP block copolymers) increased.
